I eventually went with the Panasonic CQ-C7413. It doesnt look Factory per se, except at night the lighting is almost dead on with e30 interior lights. They dont make them anymore but I found unused ones on ebay for like $90. I'm happy with it. Steer clear of refurbs though.

This is one of the reasons I want a stock looking deck.

Once I get the black interior done in my car the tint on the windows is coming off.

As in descent into hell? Just kidding, they do look decent. Blauchunks is once again desperately attempting to rescue that division. Some odd stuff has been going on, distrubution hassles, supply chain problems, etc, all of which are what make a HUGE difference to the retailer.

I like the look of the Kingston, plus it has 4096 colors and red buttons. 3X RCAs (no high pass though, fucking retards!) 2X AUX in (1 front, 1 rear) and a rear USB with extension cable (HOORAY!!!)

$200 at Crutchfield isn't too bad, either.

I find it odd that some of the USB decks work perfectly with iPod (Pioneer, notably) and some even require a AUX in with it (Kenwood) but seems no one agrees on the setup of the USB.

As much as I really like the CD43, I don't like the way it looks in the e30.

The dash trim and faceplate color are slightly different and I don't care for the way it sticks out harshly.

Yeah, if I were gonna rock a CD43, I would mod the bezel to make it flush.

couldn't the cd43 (which i'm guessing is an alpine/blau deck) be wired to a mp3 cd changer?

I'm planning on putting in a C43 in my car soon. I got the radio and an HVAC panel out of a buddy's parts car ETA to modify. I sent you a PM a while ago with a few questions, StereoInstaller1, I never heard back from you. :(

I figured as much, but didn't want to sound like a nagging bitch...that said, I'll PM you in a sec.

                        Thanks, man.

When it comes to the CD43, is there any reason we couldn't bypass the cd changer for an iPod?

They do this in other cars... right?
