    Great second post. If I were trying to hide shame, I would move to Canada like all the others. ;)

    Naw, I just gave up on the idea, as it seemed too much trouble as the back seats arent used all that much in the winter except for the dog.

      I think this would work for a convertible because the rear window motors are in the back so you could splice into those power wires and then put the switch on the speaker panel. I have seen a late cabrio retrofitted to have window switches for the rear windows on the rear speaker panel, same thing I'm guessing. Actually, if you lift up your rear seat, aren't there a bunch of wires that go to the trunk on both sides? I know there is a grounding location underrneath the seat also, you could splice into one of those wires.
