I'm pretty sure it's the computer for it. It controls everything the OBC displays. It also makes the stalk on the steering column work.
Someone correct me if I am wrong. -
I guess I'll correct you... my obc stalk works, time and date works too. mpg, temp stuff doesn't work but I have the wrong coding plug and unsure if my temp sensor is even good.Comment

I dont have that box and Temp,Mileage, Fuel monitor, etc all work just fine on my car. That may be for coding on the ignition

That is for the coding function. Make sure if you are retrofitting the system that the relay inside the black box is good and that the solder is good. I had to replace that box the day of an AutoX and didn't make it to it because of it.Comment

Yup. It has a wire that goes from the key to the box, the power side of the relay, and the other wire goes to the big green wire in the C101 and powers the ecu. The OBC just controls whether or not the relay is going to feed power or cut it.Comment
