If you were an alarm brain, where would you be?

Yeah yeah semantics... all I know is if the switch is on the thing just turns over but never fires. I wouldn't have expected it to do anything at all.-------------------------------------------------

Here an idea for you. Every alarm I've seen has a "plug in harness" - unplug the harness from the alarm "brain", turn it over and see if it starts.
If everything works as normal, you could button it back up and call it a day. If not, at lease you car wouldn't be dead.
Also, a lot of times the "starter kill" is on it's own harness. usually 3 or 4 wires, generally much thicker then the others.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?

Thanks George.. yeah I just have to find the damned brain and then I can commence to testing :) In an IDEAL world I could find the same or harness compatible Clifford used or new somewhere and replace the brain so I have fobs. Then I need to poke around and see if they've tied into the central locking system. None of my central locks work and I haven't noticed anything in the trunk as far as a central locking computer. I figure the guy tied the alarm into the door solenoids but I'll never know until I get a new brain or rewire everything....
Thanks-------------------------------------------------

Oh and BTW, cliffords use to have a lifetime warentee(spelling?) - I had an old broken one in a box and emailed them, they gave me an RA and I sent it in. Two weeks later I got another new POS Clifford. I SWEAR the thing unlocks it's self during the night. Can I get a big WTF?Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?
