    Looks great.
You talking about the James with the dinan turbo e30? If so, then yes it was his stuff... haha. I bought his dinan e30 for its drivetrain back in April.... and since i already have an mb quart system i thought i'd pass the ads stuff to someone who can get some use out of it.

Several of the mid-90s BMWs came with the CD43 or other "Business Class" decks

He is using component speakers both front and rear, with a subwoofer. The wiring he needed was basically the plug from a BMW harness, which is available aftermarket. Simple power and ground, smae as the plugs on the back of your Alpine

Yes, that is a 4 channel amp, a 2 channel amp and an electronic crossover, all classy as hell old school ADS.

NO, AUX refers to an input on the deck, typically from an iPod to the "AUX" input.

So when you rewired your car, if you ran all the speaker wires to the trunk and connected them to an amplifier, along with RCAs and a remote wire (power is already in the trunk) you have completed an amp install.

I think Luke nailed all the questions, if you have any more, feel free to post them up.

            My C43 is out of a 1999 318tiA. I used this harness.

All I did was run the speaker wires to the crossover (left in trunk pic) then an 8 pin DIN cable connects the crossover to the amplifier, and another set of speaker wires run from the amp to the speakers. Power and ground for the headunit are taken from the factory location up front, two remote turn on wires were run down to the amp and crossover, and power and ground for the amp and crossover were provided by the battery. I installed a 20 amp inline fuse to the amplifier as to the PH12's owner's manual.

The speakers were just personal preference, I knew I wanted a/d/s/ because I had heard they were fantastic (and period correct), and these pretty much fell into my lap. The 6 channel amp and 642CSi crossover are capable of handling everything; the fronts (which I'll find eventually), the rears, and the two subwoofers.
