I think my girlfriend would murder me if I ever did anything work related with a girl wearing anything remotely like that. She doesn't even like me working with other girls in general.Comment

Last time I had that kinda help;not much work got done.
Considering removing all the metal behind seat and rear shelf.Building box into the car with the 2 15 inch subs being where back rest was and ports out top of box/rear shelf. This car is my going to work car and back seat really never used.
Built several like this way back when and they always worked out well.Just can't stick anybody in rear without grills on speakers.Making kick panel pods up front.def hair raising.
I started w a 2 10 box in trunk but didnt get much sound thru the firewall back there.I have a box for 2 15's that may fit.if not a trip to get some mdf no prob.Comment

If I do the 8" box, it will come with woofers.
I have a line on a fairly beefy 8" that "should" work in bandpass...most will not work well.
These woofs will be like $50/pr though. 2" voice coil, 40oz magnet, should be about 200w RMS each...but need to get the software to test the woofers. I have 2 of these now, can get more soon.
Hopefully gonna get the woodshop built shortly. AS of now, garage is WAY too cold for me, plus I am stuck in the damn driveway, so can't even go buy materials!Comment

Yeah, this storm is a major bummer.
No work and can't get parts to do shit at home, plus the Astro is stuck in the damn driveway!Comment

Just mounting speakers into the rear wall seems easier to me. that second wall on the trunk side seems like it ought to make a pretty decent box, doesn't it? I'm not an audiophile or anything so this seems suitable to me.. plus you don't lose trunk space. Just mount the amps to that wall and you're set.
The wall being vertical kinda helps aim the speakers at the driver and passenger head and assume that whatever soundwaves don't hit will fly up out of the car.
Another option might be to install them into the front seats themselves, or build a speaker box as a center console for the rear two seats rx-8 style.sigpic
