crossover location?

    crossover location?

    i've searched on this forum and also on bimmer forums but i cannot find a thread dedicated to where people mount they're crossovers for their front splits.

    i was just wondering where you mount yours...i need ideas. thanks in advance :)

        I generally put them in either the trunk or the left rear sidepanel.

        Mine are in the stock speaker locations...at least the stock locations are good for something!

            yea I've had the same problem finding some where to put mine, I think I'm gonna put them in the trunk with the amp, because the glove box is for more important stuff and the kick panel on the drivers side is crowded with all the dumb-ass keyless relays the PO installed.
            right now I'm not running crossovers and there's no bass at all, I feel the speakers working will the crossovers help with my lack of bass?

                    In the glovebox on top of the black cover that hides all the wires is where mine are.

                        The iPod control unit for my JVC deck is up there, along with the Bluetooth phone module. Good place to mount stuff.

                          i just passed the ipod and USB cables thru to the spot in front of the ashtray....leave my usb in there with my sunnies :)

                            In my car, they were mounted under the seats, on top of the vents. It looked pretty clean, but I removed them because something was making my tweeters and front speakers sound like crap.

                            It helped, slightly.
