    Hotwiring an e30

No, this isn't a how to guide. I was just wondering myself how to do this. Is it possible? I was thinking i might run down the street and steal a few before bed.

Yeah, fucking A, grab me a swartz with 2 good front fenders, please.

+12V (big red) to green (IGN) and black is starter. Brake lights won't work and check panel will be pissed off, but who cares, you are stealing a car, right?

Say, hypothetically, I wanted to practice on my car. Would this be a bad idea? Is there a risk of electrocution or fire?

I dunno that's what you're for though, to tell me these things. You're the one that steals cars right?

            Kidding :)

bat between spokes and a good jerk gets it off.

                  No pun intended.

you could unlock the steering wheel, just like how you would try to remove a steering wheel from the yard. Jab somethin the size of the key into the tumbler, and wack it in real hard, you will destroy they lock cylinder but the steering lock will come loose.

OP try it on your car :P and let us know how it works out for you.

or you could drill a small hole on the top of the steering wheel then use a punch to push the spring loaded pin down while you pull the steering wheel off. it just has to be right at the top of the steering column and towards the back of the steering wheel.

had to do this once on my car, . once you get the steering wheel off the ign switch is easy no shock or fire risk.

just dont get mugged and let them take your car keys if you want to get home. lol. not fun at all. just better have tools in the trunk and the trunk unlocked. lucky me.

Slide hammer screwed into the lock cylinder. A few good whacks will pull it right out.

                            This thread is quite amusing.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

In all seriousness though. I cross the red and the green? Then where do I touch the black?
