Radar detector installed in the check panel's power

I saw the posts on this and liked it. It sucks having that huge cord in the way & using the cigarette lighter for the detector is a pain. especially on long trips where you really want to charge the cel. I really like it, thanks for the idea guys.

The dector uses an RJ11 phone cord so it's easy to just cut off an old cord & use it!

yea, i bet the radar will fit ontop of the mirror, in the slot, that's where I have mine, it doesnt obstruct your view as much..

again... whats with the stuffed animal?

I just ran a wire down to the ignition via the A-pillar so the detector turns on when I turn on the car and off when I kill it.

Im a bit nervous about cutting and such in the cehck control since those wires are old and were exposed to such heat cycling.
                  Im now E30less.

Okie dokie, the bear was a gift when I drove 1900 miles alone with my now dead 7 year old Black lab in my Tundra with an 8 foot bed totally overloaded, an 8 foot X 4 foot trailer made by me & RWard325 also totally overloaded from my wife to "keep me company" So please no cracks about it.

Thanks but I don't want a maplight mirror.

I keep a Winnie the Pooh in my car. It even has a little red racing suit on. Ladies love it.

Do you wear that hat in the back seat?

My choices were tan or silver, (old phone wire lying around) the flash makes it look much more white & bright than it is and it's mostly hidden by the detector & mirror.

Someone said it belongs above the mirror, I agree but it's too big unless the mirror is pointing down. It's not too in the field of vision and is much better than it was before just above the dash.
