I'm personally set on my lappy ;)

I have a Copaq EVO 400c, hyped to the max and still running XP FTW!!!

I have typed on this thing with mahine oil on my hands, dropped it, spilled drinks on it, and it's like a timex lol. If it ever does go, I can get the cases on egay for $100 and swap over my memory and HDD :D

It's even got character with the missing mouse "un-joy stick" and autmotive stickers covering it

I'm excited about making my own WB controller, complete with all the features of my LC-1 for a fraction of the price (and probably have less problems than the Innovative).

      i am closaely following this!
i have too much on my plate right now to try to learn about this and develop it right now.

one problem i may run in to is the TPS on my car, because of the ITB's, is almost ON the fire wall. how much thicker is the GM TPS?

i think it may require firewall modding if i use an adapter. nothing a hammer can't fix!

care to post a source for your parts list? IE what cars they can be found on

There are many ECM's you can use, I just felt comfortable using the same '7730 that's in my Firebird.

Biggest thing is to make sure they have a setup that can be reprogramed. For instance, there is no support for the '302 ECM's, and a lot of them can be re-pinned at the connector to work in other cars/configurations.

Got some more pics later, got the EEPROMs and chip bypass adapter for the ECM.

Also ordering a DIY wideband kit, and am going to test it on the E30. It's a big bag of parts that you assemble into a WB controller with a digital readout, real-time logging, two programable outputs and free air calibration --- all for less than $100 (sensor not included, but I have a Bosch already :D)

any links to this wide band kit?
what is the pn for the bosch O2 that will function as a wide band?

The same Bosch sensor that's used with an LC1. PLX, etc can be used with this one.

                Here's more info...

RS232 datalogging cable. This is the one that came with the burner I bought used, but I will be showing you how to make one later in the thread (on the cheap)...

The Willems chip burner. This is the dual power unit, and uses USB for power and serial for information (EEPROM chip installed). They offer a true USB version for slightly more money, but I'm not one to pass up a deal :D ...

And here is the Moates memory adapter with the ZIF socket (easy to remove chips for re-burning, chip installed)...

No, sorry. I have the ECM and am still waiting for the wideband parts to show up. They are coming from Canada, suppose that's the delay.

Pics will be posted of the entire process as it happens, don't fret ;)

                        Lambda controller is present!!!

Got it last week, but didn't think the thread needed to be updated until something was done.

                        Before...

                        After ~2 or 3 hrs....

Went fairly smooth, but have a little more to do before testing. Results soon :D

Think it may be best to separate the digital readout from the PCB with some sort of ribbon cable and connectors (for looks), but we will see...
