130amp Upgrade Alternator Arrived

getting this was a saga unto itself. Finally, its here...

I cant vouch until I get it installed and etc. but I got it from Eagle Auto Electric, an ebay seller. I didnt get it via an ebay auction however, and got a slightly better deal that way.





like i said, cant vouch for its function yet, but it sure looks perty! :-p

i'll have 660w of forward lighting on highbeams, and that is without running the fogs. Plus about 700+w of audio, just for starters. Thats about 80 amps alone. plus the engine ignition at full wail, parking lights, alpha drive for flux capacitor, and my cig-lighter -powered dildo which i wear at night as well.

the stock valeo alternator is a 105amp, and i was stuck having to buy a $75 regulator for it. it has 150k miles on it, and so I figured I might as well get a whole new upgrade alty for $30 more (delivered).

An 130amp alt will not be enough for 1300 watts if that is continuous let alone a vibrating dildo.

heh.... anyway, the mother fucker lower bolt is seized bigtime in the bracket. ive tried EVERYTHING except a torch. i went out today and bought a ton of shit but forgot the torch...

18years + aluminum bracket + hardened steel bolt = FUCK YOU! you try to get this off... ive got it soaking in PB. tomorrow ima saw the old alty off and go brute on it.

Alright, after two days fighting a seized bolt (lower bolt seized to alty bracket--torch GOOD!), I finally got the new one in. Seems to work fine. Didnt really do much testing of it due to not wanting to run the car until I can get the timing belt done. Reggie of www.reggiesmotorworks.com is gonna do it for me as part of the deal with me selling him my 02...

The "Part Number" on the alty is nonsense, doesnt correspond to anything (im pretty sure its a fake "Bosch" label in general). I installed the alt, and it works, but havent tested it with any real demands (or with a meter at all) so im not willing to "endorse" it yet.

If you want one anyway, look up "eagle auto electric" on ebay via google, and email them. The dude who helped me out was Steve. I paid $115 delivered to Indiana from soucal.
