so far so good, but im still not taxing it much (still waiting to get my audio gear shipped to me from cali)... i do notice the alternator kicking on when i first start the car. i give it a little gas and the lights go brighter slightly. its not as bad as my GM alty in my 02, which often needed a big blip to turn on. Seems fine, but again im not sucking its teets very hard ;)Comment

wut.
130w driving lights x2 = 260
100w highbeams x4 = 400
=660
actually im thinking im just going to use osram nightbreakers which are 60w h4 (on high) and 55w h1s, that way i dont have to re-do any stock wiring. i may or may not put on the driving lights which are in storage atm...Comment

I upgraded to a 140amp Bosch alternator about 5 years ago in my E36. I was having problems running my stereo and high beam lights at the same time. Needless to say, I don't have that problem anymore.Comment

Secondary wiring with a relay is not difficult, but do you think it is all that necessary? I guess with all that it may be...wut.

What h4 bulbs are those you speak of? I did the conversion and the cheapo bulbs included in the kit are already degrading.Comment
