    Review: Infinity Kappa speaker

I bought 2 sets of infinity kappa 2way speakers off crutchfield. They come with crossovers (i think thats what they are, if not wtf are they haha). They are usually 170 for a set and I got them for 69 each on sale yay. I finally installed the last one today. AND DAMN. I love them. they arent the best out there but they sound great, very clear and smooth. Overall I love them. I recomend them. Luke do you have any experience with infinity? what do you think?

I'd like to know too. I'm looking for a decent set of seperates that a married guy with kids can afford. $69 seems to fit in my budget.

I have a lot of experience for one they are not hard hitting speakers so dont push them and try to make them hit hard because you will fry them in a day.

They are made to be clear and crisp.

So tune them so they sound perfect which is what they are made for.

Dont try to make them rattle that is what will kill them.

If you want hard hard bang then get a kicker or alpine.

Also as for the crossover im sure you are talking about the duel voice coils which can be wired differently to work with different ohms and to match your amp.

These are the 5.25s, right? I saw those on Crutchfield. Did you put them in Premium speaker housings or on top the rear shelf?

I've had three cars, all with Infinity Reference speakers, and have been nothing but impressed. They are lacking a bit in bass clarity when used alone, but I have the ones in my truck supplemented with a Reference 8" sub driven with a 150W Alpine amp, and it adds just enough power to the low end to offload the bass from the coaxials, which really makes them shine. A similar setup is going in my '88 325is this weekend.
