Finished the guibo last night, BTW, so now it's time for interior removal and lay some sound deadening and wires.
I'll have a grinding wheel and POR-15 in case I come across any surface rust once i pull the carpet.
One question. When i am cutting the carpet around the heater core, is there anything I need to worry about underneath or can i just cut away?turk@gutenparts.com

shouldnt be any wires under the heatercore, cut so that you can pull it out from the steering coloumn and behind the heater core cut it as close to the middle from the passenger side as you can.
That way you can shove it back in when u have to and the most nuggeted side will be the passenger.
Least thats how i did it the first time. Second time i didnt cut it then i got pissed off when i tried to put it in without cutting and cut it dodgily so sorta wrecked that carpet lolRIP 84 323i coupe 5spd w/ 14psi
