    Complete Wiring Harness Swap

Hey all! I'm currently doing a full '89 is swap into an '84 e shell and that includes the wiring harness. Does anyone know of any good guides for wiring everything back up into the proper places? Any labeled pictures or step by step guides would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Oh man. The BMW Electrical PDF will be your friend. They cover everything. You just have to know how to search for it.

Where's the best place to find that? Just search it on google or is there a specific site that has a good copy?

The "webafone" one is best - can't find it at the moment on my phone. This will work http://www.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e30/

It's "wedophones." A web search will give you what you need.

Does anyone know if the auto main wiring loom and ECU is different from the manual main loom/ECU? I’m doing a wiring swap from the same month/year factory production car.

Yes, confirmed the two wiring loom side by side are identical.

Has anyone adapted early model tail light and door connectors to a late model harness, along with any other connectors that need to be changed? Can’t think of any off the top of my head, everything that hooks up the the loom is from a late model car, excluding the doors and tails.
