    Flash light power?

    Hi everyone,

    installing a dashcam and want to know if the flashlight socket in the glovebox is constant power or does it turn off after a while?

    any info will be appreciated.

      Pretty sure constant from memory, but easy to test with a DMM. Ages ago when I got my first e30 a paper clip fell in the socket and shorted on me. Took forever to figure it out.

          I’m thinking it’s constant too. Just trying to make sure of it. Can’t find any info.

              You might consider finding power behind the check control (on the roof). Then you don't have to run a wire around the windshield.
