    Convertible Frame Part Number Help

    Hey all,

    Trying to figure out which nut / bolt i need to connect these two parts of my frame. Real OEM shows it as number 28 but theres 10 bolts under number 28. I've searched the parts online but could find any images.

    Can you measure the current bolt? There are measurements listed for the various #28 bolts on RealOEM. I have found that to be sometimes helpful in this type of situation.

      I can probably help you with the bolt as I have two spare frames. There are several shouldered bolts that hold the frames together but they are different. Some have longer threads, others have larger shoulders. They are staked in place and can be challenging to remove.
      If you can get yours out and measure the length or better yet, PM me a picture of it, I'll send you the bolt you need.

              PM'd but anyone else thats available to help the size of bolt head is about .75inches. diameter of bolt itself is 1/4inch and it's .75inches long.

              The only part on real OEM that makes sense is 54311943733 since it shows 6 of these. All other bolts are only 2.

                Everything on a BMW is metric, so here are the conversions.

                .25" = 6.35mm
                .75" = 19.05mm

                RealOEM shows part 54311943733 as 6mm x 13mm, so it's probably worth a try to order one and see if it fits. Does your bolt length measurement include the head, or just the shank?
