    Cabrio fusible link ??

Im sure this question has come up before. Where is the fusible link located in the wiring harness on the front battery mount cars? Is there one??

Car ran fine before replacing the head. Now it wont start.
i swapped in a new cps but still have no start.
i bridged the main relay - no start
bridged the fuel relay - no start no fuel pump but regulator does push fuel.

    clarity would be appreciated thx

there isn't one. you have to be very mindful when jumpstarting a cabriolet. the main DME power wire, goes straight from the wiring harness to the battery.

so what you could be saying is that my DME may be fried? that's ok..I got a few 173's lying around.. Thanks for confirming it..cheers!

so after swapping in another dme I still didn't get a start. After assessing - the only thing I replaced were the injectors. After swapping the old injectors back the car started.

Usually won't fry the ECU, they're diode protected. The thing that usually get's burned out is the AB S relay under the dash. It has a fusible link inside it.
