    E30 electric top lid issue

I am trying to figure out how the motor engages the bowden cables. I got both motors working, but there are two parts for the lid motor to turn, the lid moves fine, but the bowden cable part doesn't seem to have a way to connect to the motor. There is a tab on the side, but it doesn't engage with the lid lever. Pictures attached. Also here is a video I made showing how they don't engage.

    What am I missing?

Seems that lid motor lever was bent. Looking at this picture this one is flat, mine was bent. Straightened it out and it locks now!

How did you straighten it out? Mine is bent as well and spinning past the locking tab.

        Thanks
