Side skirts for '93 325ic

My friend with a '93 3235ic (post-facelift, plastic bumpers) is considering adding side skirts. I'm no vert expert, and from what I've seen with a quick search indicates that their bodies are different, and coupe skirts won't fit -- they must be vert-specific. Is that correct? If yes, any recommendations for skirts that would fit his car? Ideally bolt-on, but if they must be modified to fit that's OK too.
