Another convertible top cabin leak fix

So I got into my car after a storm and there was about a 2 inch pool of water behind my passenger seat. I pulled the carpet and tried to figure out where the leak was coming from. Most google searches indicated it was the rocker drains being plugged, but mine were draining properly as evidenced by pouring water down my doors and windows. The issue is the little gap I have between the convertible top hatch and trim bit, and water was pooling up in my convertible hatch and draining into the cabin.
    Tested with water

The water drains down that small hole, down the wiring harness

and in to the back seat or the passenger seat footwell

I found NOTHING on google about this subject, which is why I am making this post.

This is your drain, NOT the large hole! you have to remove the wiring to have good access to it, and as you can see its pretty clogged!

Clean it out, shove something down the actual drain. tape up the incorrect drain hole, and flush out the real drain with water. It should now drain out of your rockers. reassemble top!!

Now for me to sandblast and POR15 my floor..

Hopefully google can find this based on these keywords:

Nice post but I'm not clear on where the source is. Wouldn't a new deck lid seal solve this ?

That would be your deck lid seal. The drain have to work but they shouldn't be needed. The seal is about $80 from the dealer.

I understand where the seal goes, but it does not go between the gap, therefore will not stop water getting in there.
