    Hardtop parts removal? Please help!

Does any know how to get these off? If so, please help me out! Thanks in advance guys. Sorry for the over-sized picture, I'm not sure how to make it smaller

Use a socket and wrench on top.

Oh god no, that'd be a sin to kill a hardtop like that. I'm buying a hardtop from a local guy and we can't figure out how to remove this piece. I'm not with the car so I can't try to figure it out, he just wants to make sure he'll be able to give me all the hardware before he drives out to me.

It is indeed an 11mm socket. Just keep in mind the two sides turn in opposite directions. IIRC (and I'm not 100% on this) with the wrench pointing towards the trunk emblem you rotate towards the front of the car.

Awesome, thanks dude. Will the mounts for the hardtop bolt directly on to my vert or is there anything I need to do to get it ready for the hardware?

Yes. to remove the hard top and leave that pin attached to the body means they unscrewed the star ring that's secures the pin to the hardtop. That ring comes as part of the pin assembly (über $$$) so if they are missing let me know. I may still have my old ones

Right on man, thanks the advice. He'll be here tonight after dinner so hopefully it all works out. Any other tips on how to get it all out/installed? Do I just need what's in the picture and that's all or am I missing something?
