Hey fellas I’m new to this forum. I picked up this beauty this morning for $7,500 I couldn’t let this opportunity pass up, figured I’d end up regretting it. New paint upholstery and top a year ago 113k miles one minor front end accident clean title. Rides and handles great. Zero rust very clean chassis top is still electric but might end up making it manual operated it’s not working that great it acts up sometimes. Heated seats Was hoping someone could run a more thorough vin check to see if this car came equipped with more options such as lsd etc
Decoder says it’s a S770A but doesn’t say “Mtech II appearance package” though like some of your decoding results display it,

325ic 92 M-Tech appearance package
Original Owner Vin= NEC 29459
From what I was told the M-Tech appearance package BMW cars in the GTA prior to public sale were used for a week as courtesy car for tennis players in what is now called the Rogers Cup.
My car was purchased through BMW Canada, it was the last triple white available and located in British Columbia, then shipped to Applewood BMW in Mississauga Ontario.
All is original except:
Replaced to dark blue top
Upgraded headlights, PIAA 17201 White 25W 9005/9006 Performance
LED Bulb (6000K, 3700 Lm
Front seats redone to match the original
Upgraded rims to 15 inch BBS basket weave and had them white walled
to match to original 14 inch, now used for winter tires if needed.
For those in my area with a E30
Oakville BMW is where I get this car serviced. I went to Mississauga BMW once, that place damaged my car, BMW Canada got involved.

Yeah, I saw that red one that sold on BaT also. Unbelievable! I had been looking for an E30 vert for quite some time but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for until this one dropped in my lap (so to speak).
I live in Columbia, SC. And believe it or not, a friend of mine here in town also owns an MTech 2 just like mine (only his has twice the mileage). We're planning a "mirror image" photo shoot soon as my detail guy gets done with his...Last edited by Uber///m3; 11-09-2018, 05:07 AM.

I saw the one you got on BaT last month. That's also a very good car. Great example of the MTech 2 model with relatively low mileage. Nice buy!
As for the valve cover and intake being painted red, I also wondered about that when considering the purchase. I guess it was just a previous owner's choice. The pre-purchase inspection I had done on the car before I bought it didn't reveal anything unexpected for a 27 year old car. And I kind of like it (although it isn't original).
I also confirmed it had been re-painted in front but from what I can ascertain, it was mainly for bug/stone chips. Thankfully, the match is nearly perfect (IMHO) and the VIN numbers beyond the hood do match. I offered the seller his asking price because I really wanted the car and plan to keep it for a long, long time. My blood runs (BMW) black and blue, so this one's definitely a keeper!
Thanks again...

Did you ever confirm the vin numbers for the front end matched? He said it was all repainted up there but never would confirm vin numbers beyond the hood not matching. How much did he end up letting it go for? It is a very nice car. Excellent pick up.

I'm clear on the differences between the "luxury equipment" and "appearance package" options. What I'm still a bit unclear about is the difference between an MTech 1 and an MTech 2? There's a ton of info out there on the ole interweb, but there's a bit of conflict with some of it. Anywho, I'm glad to be here!
