New top: What are the "must have" parts?

Hi, I need to replace the top on my convertible, and so far I'm planning to replace the top itself, of course, and both tension straps. Are there any seals and/or widgets that can only be replaced or are much easier to replace with the top removed?

Also: I'm planning to buy a black German Haartz cloth top because I figure I'm only going to do this once, but I'm open to recommendations based on your experiences. Thanks in advance! :up:

seals "as needed" and possibly the top shocks if you are so inclined.

Depending on how long you want to keep the car, a top with a zip-in rear window may be better. Being able to easily replace the window will add years to the life of the top.
