Manual Top Tonneau Cover Release Handle not working

Anyone know how I might be able to open the tonneau cover without using the handle in the rear quarter behind the driver seat? When I pull the release handle, there is resistance, but the tonneau won't release & pop-up.

Probably a screw is loose or a latch needs lube. Would I be able to open it from the trunk or behind the interior panel somehow?

    Searches have turned up nada.

    Thanks!

You gotta run your fingers under the cover and push that lever to fully release the cover, kind of like a hood latch release on a regular car.

Solved. I just had to tap on the cover a little bit while pulling up on it. It eventually popped loose. Sprayed from lithium grease on the latches, and it works great now.

I seem to be facing the same problem, I pull on the latch behind the driver's seat and nothing. I'm worried if I pull any harder I'll break it right off. Can you elaborate on how you solved the problem?

        Greatly appreciated,

Does the handle move or is it stuck?

Can you hear any movement of the wires?
