The "experts" I have spoken with tell me the shape of the footwell is different enough that the coupe carpet will not fit.Leave a comment:

I don't know but I'd bet it will work. The cabrio carpet is probably just a coupe carpet trimmed down on the sides. That's the only difference i have noticed. Since the cuts will be hidden under the large cabrio sill covers it doesn't even have to be pretty.Leave a comment:

Reviving this thread! ... In the chance anyone has tried since the last posts: Has anyone ever modified the Coupe carpet for the convertible? It looks very possible, especially if you do not order the one with mass backing. The nicer ACC "Essex" is $285 at Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5982393&cc=1011700&pt=1264&jsn=113 75&optionchoice=1-A1177-0-1
I am currently debating redoing the carpet before selling my car vs. just leave this task to the new owner.Leave a comment:

I still think you could modify it to make it work. And for georgE30, e46 front floormats fit well, btw. I have the bmw all-weather ones in my car.Leave a comment:

I went out and just ordered the new black carpet from getbmwparts.com. Looks great so far. Matches the e46 convertible floor mats perfectly...

Following up one more time. Found a parts car local to me with Anthrazit carpet and got that, however I am still curious if anyone managed to make the coupe carpet fit the vert, and if so, what needs to be done to make it fit.Leave a comment:

I'd love to get to the bottom of this as well.
I remember reading somewhere that e82 1 series floormats almost fit the e30 vert.
I think I even ordered some, but was unhappy with the fitment.Leave a comment:

I'd love to find a black convertible carpet to swap my beige one with...Leave a comment:

Not that I can tell. "kenrk" above said he got the coupe one in the other thread on this, but said it didn't work. Asked why it wasn't possible to modify? but haven't heard back
I really feel like you could trim the rear to work, and the front is similar enough to work, but I have not pulled the trigger to try this yet.Leave a comment:

Any updates on this? Otherwise, I'm just gonna pull the carpet out of a parts car and dye it.Leave a comment:
