Touring seats

1. I just got an 84 E30 318 I and I’m blessed with touring seats. I can’t get the mechanism to recline the seats to work well. It seems that this hinge on the inside does not follow the hinge on the outside when I activate the mechanism. Why is there so much slop

Is there a remedy for this?

I just noticed I do not have a plastic bushing on the inside. So this and a couple new shocks shout do it? Where does everyone go for these sorts of seat pats besides getting the p/n from real OEM?
