It's a cool upgrade if your old POS "pushy" e30 switches barely work or not at all, and stick. Looks way better too.

So I am about to start this mod on my 89 iX. I have large white base switches and if i under stand correctly the pins are numbered like this,:
123
456
or in my case 1=bl, 3=br, 4=gr, 5=red as shown below
and as you can see on the lower pic as the pins look like from above correspond as:
45
13
Now, should the key that was made a few pages back that Franco made work the same for mine even tho it was a blue base? Or better yet does anyone have a pic of the white base switches wired in? Thanks in advance.

Yea I've seen that before. But I just tested them and here's what worked for me.: The e30 wire colors are...
1 - Purple
3 - Both Browns
4 - Black
5 - Green
(the numbers are the pins& wire colors are e30) which someone posted way back
My only issues now are to figure out which wires for the rear windows do what as they are different colors. Franco, is the above what you did? Also, do you know the wires for the rears? How exactly did you plug your e30 wires into the switch base? Thanks again.
