Color change for the steering wheel emblem...

Now,Dont mind the colors,my ten year old son picked them out. Just figured i would do a little write up about how to change the colors of really any plastic emblem. :D

---First step, remove that baby with something plastic so you dont mark up the wheel or emblem.

---Next start sanding the rear(painted side)of the emblem with some mild sandpaper..

---After all the paint is removed hit it with some wet-sand until it is clear.

---now it is time to mask..

    ---then paint.

Sweet, custom color and you can match your car,or whatever..

    And installed...

A little plastic polish on the outside will help it look new as well...

Paint was just whatever i had..It is a slightly rough surface,so any spray should work. And i use plast-x polish but there are many with the headlight polishing craze and all :) I think aquafresh toothpaste works well and smells great!

Yeah, almost all clear emblems can be done this way..been doing it for years to all kinds. If you run it clear, glue some carbon to the back :)

Looks good man...not a fan of the color scheme though. Maybe it looks good with everything all together, IDK what your car looks like. But nice work

Colors remind me of the old school xbox jewel. I usued to use the same process for repainting them too!
