    Sorry to bring this back but I just realized today my pinstripes are painted on as well. Only after I got all comfy in a chair with a heatgun. Im like WTF??
    Anyway, the Easy Off really worked without f'in up the clear?

    I had a painted on pinstripe. Some detailers recommended "easy off" oven cleaner, I didn't want to use it. But it worked fine, didn't hurt the paint.
    You have to let it sit for a few minutes.

    that plastic razor blade a.k.a. plastic scraper works great too.
    After you get all the razor off, and give the car a quick polish/wax it should look pretty good.

    i could pull mine off by hand if i worked slowly. Went over the area with the bug/tar remover stuff afterwards and it cleaned up any residue left behind.

    Not when used properly no.

    A eraser wheel is best used on pinstriping that is no longer soft, and cannot be pulled/scraped off easily.

    Old pinstripe gets nasty.

    I did a bit of the trunk tonight, I'm really hoping it buffs out to be the same color as the rest of the car. The rest of my paint is in real good condition, it's just in desperate need of a good detailing.
