I have a question regarding my 13 OBC. I have an 89 325is. When i bought it I had to replace the fuse box and the cluster because both of each of them burned up, literally. The back of the SI board was burnt right underneath the tach and a few fuses burnt a section of the fuse box (not sure how, thats how I bought the car).

I replaced the fuse box with no problems. I bought a cluster from a guy who parted it out of a 91 318is. I changed the chip inside the new cluster with the chip from my original cluster and I also changed the fuel gauge from the 55 litre guage to the 60 litre guage.

My problem is that my OBC reads the 55 litres after i filled up. My car has a 62 litre tank. How do I reset it so the OBC reads correctly with the gas guage. Like the discussion earlier that the Speedo reads slower then the OBC, does the gas guage read a lower fuel reading then the OBC?

    Thanks.

Yes I want to know this too, have been for a while. I was hoping it would let me use military time but keep the Fahrenhiet/american readings.

its easy. Set the display to time. Use an ink pen or similar prodding tool to push the tiny recessed button and then the number buttons at the bottom to change the digits.

The OBC in my euro car changes minutes every like 30 or so seconds. its completely fucked. the backlight burns out about three days after i replace it too, so i just stopped caring.
Haha, mine does that, I just punch it and it goes right back to not working properly.

The green plug is on the back of the IC.

As far as my speed query goes, we belive that the speedos are pretty good and the OBC is out. Funny that considering it gets the signal from the back of the IC.

I don't think that you can change the speed reading. Most BMW speedos tend to be about 5 mph off, which is roughly 10 kmh.

BTW where can I get the code plug to update my 6-button OBC to the 13 button? All I know is that I need the green plug from a car originally equpped with the 13-button. My car also had the exterior temp sensor ripped out by a wayward pothole. Does this plug into the back of the OBC as well?

Also, how do you adjust the speed reading on the OBC? My speedo is pretty good (I was in convoy with 3 other cars - a stock e36, a modified e46 and a stock e30 plus my modded e30 all with CB radios) and all our speedos were the same. My OBC reading was about 10km/h slow.

    Any way to change it?
