My brother did mine this weekend using a space heater to open them up, then he froze the silicone sealant before taking it off. They look great. I used the machined xhairs from turk in the X pattern rather than the +

Not doubting you, but correct info would be nice, regardless who's right.
they didnt fit. i printed jordan's template to the correct size and the shape/depth was different. i even resized/reprinted it to see if that would help and it didnt. the side near the glass was at least 1/4" to tall so the glass wouldnt come close to fitting on. regardless, its not hard to adjust them after you have them cut out.

EDIT: i just tried again today and same thing happened, the reflector has a different depth, so the sides dont align. i wish i would have kept my busted up high beam housing, i could have just cut it in half and copied the profile.

^ i have a high beam for you that has the lens already off of it, but you'll have to buy the other one and two low beams with it:)

Is it just me or does this crosshair template not fit U.S. hella high beams? I cut it out over and over and it just didn't fit in the high beam?? Ah well I spent about an hour and came up with my own template (admittedly not perfect..)

Oh and I'm 0 and 2 on boiling the high beams to get the lenses off, busted them both. And unfortunately our oven is broken. :( The low beams were much easier.

ok guys, the guy making them actually adapted the pattern to better fit his headlights... which means he ran off a set that properly fit DOT/9006 high beams. he didn't realize the the bowls are differently shaped because of different bulb type and regulations.

Hoping he still has the pattern for the ECEs to run off which I would need, but I thought I'd let y'all know that if you have DOT highs, you can now join the 'fun' and pick up the first crosshair set designed to properly fit them.

They are run off and ready to ship on BF.C

So, I baked my low beams and got the lenses of but this plastic piece melted to shit on one of them. Any idea what it's for and if I need to replace it?

    Thanks.

Try prying up a little bit, then put them back in the water for like 5-10 more minutes. Very time consuming, but I didn't break a single lense. I also used the 'X' patern, I found it easy to line up to make the slots in the plastic backing. Uou can also use a razor knife to cut the adhesive, that works in tight spots.

PS, try using differnt color adhesives, I used red and it came out looking like my car was stoned, but awesome at the same time.

Same here, boiled water was the safest route for me. I tried the oven method also, but only b/c my highbeams were all metal.
