Resurrecting, just to say a heat gun will drop the badge off in ten seconds. It will also melt the glue and you will be done within 10 minutes. Add a little bit of polish and your good as new.Leave a comment:

hmm.. not to be a giant bag of douche but you can expedite the process if you just get a stripe eraser wheel to take the glue off. I did mine in like 5 min like that.

debadging gives your trunk symmetry. Plus confuses girls since without a badge they have no idea what a car is.Leave a comment:

3M tape works. Not harsh. Better if you want to debadge it in the future as well.Leave a comment:

What would you guys recommend to use when mounting it back on? want to paint mine's black.Leave a comment:

fishing line is best in my opinion.... when you see saw it back and forth behind the badge it actually cuts out half that sticky shit behind it... oh and then a little goof off to finish it up.Leave a comment:

Good post. Seems I'm not the only one annoyed by the bars that connect the numbers.
Since I bought mine with a few dings & half the gloss coat on the roof chipping, I didn't bother protecting the paint. Gotta get it redone anyway, no use in making the effort to protect it.
The best part is, if I ever want to put the 325e back on, the Advanced Auto up the road sells letters & numbers individually in the exact same font for $1 a piece.Leave a comment:

Yeah. Looks like you also need some of that cleaner for the INSIDE of your trunk...ha ha haLeave a comment:
