    Smoke Side Marker Lights.

Just came up with an idea of making my own smoke side marker lights without the ugly paint.
1- Remove the bulb out, using a screwdriver try to push out the reflector out, most likely the reflector will crack or brake, try to remove it without braking the housing (no problem you will not need it), clean out all of it until all you have its just the housing it should look like this one.

2- Find a used set of tail light like the one below, carefully remove the outer lens without braking the smoked section, underneath you will find a smooth yellow reflector and a red one as well.

3- Cut 2 yellow and 2 red rectangles to be fitted in the original housing.

4- Cut four smoke rectangle the same size to be fitted in the same housing.

By placing the yellow and the red reflector under the smoke one it will give you yellow for front and red for the rear.

I used automotive Goop to glue it together, forgot to take pics of it lit up.

Here are the yellow one powered up, red still searching for smooth red plastic.

That's actually pretty impressive man. Have a mod move it to the DiY section.

      Bravo.

Do the saabs actually have the tinted tails or is that an aftermarket? If OEM..might not be a hard thing to find, if not it'll be like finding a needle in a haystack

They are that way from the factory for US 9000 models. They've used the same smoked top/red bottom taillights for the 9-5 as well.

Very clean OEM+ style, I love it.

Also, maybe MKIII Volkswagen tails would work, they have smoked sections in the taillights as stock, so you may be able to use that if you can't find these Saab ones.

And what did you cut it with? Those are some precise cuts, looks great! You should post the measurements for the cutouts too.
            Reminiscing...

Nice work, i'm impressed and i'd give it a shot myself if i weren't planning on Euro-bumpers in the future. Little mods executed that well are so satisfying.

They look really startec like. i wonder if someone could make startec ripoffs doing something similar.

Probably not but still a good idea
