I just order the OEM clips.Hope to have them today.

Problem is,how can I avoid moisture getting trapped between the bodykit and the car?
I imagine lots of rust in the next 5-10 years.
Since this is an E30 though, its kinda irrelevant to be honest!

There's suppose to be some foam like rubber on the backside to seal the body off.

My car has had MT2 its entire life. The paintwork and metal behind the body has survived 22 years of being left outside and crappy Maacco paint job. Still as shiny as the day it left the factory. Now the foam does kinda wear away after that long (see surface rust on the corner of the door) and it starts to rub.

lucky for you that your car has spent most if its life in a salt free environment. just imagine how that panel would look if this car spent its life in ohio.

Todd, this is exactly what I was looking for since I recently purchased a NOS valence to replace my worn out original. Thanks!

                              Thanks Todd!

Also there is supposed to be thin 3 M double sided tape used where the side panels meet the body panels. When I pulled my OEM kit off I saw it on the backside and will be replacing it when I install my kit. Its thin at about the thickness across of 1/4 the width of standard scotch tape.

It is still possible to get this guide for the Mtech1? I tried PM'ing Van Westervelt - but his inbox is full.

                                Thanks
