    Controlling m52b28 COP using MS3X

    Hello!

I'm trying to control the m52's COPs using an ms3x but can't figure out how to convert the signal required. I bought a pack of "BIP373" replacements from DIYautotune and wired them exactly to the spec of a bip373 but had no luck. The IGBTs I got as a replacement to the bip373 have the label v5036p which looking at the datasheet looks like they are controlled with a Vge threshold of 1.3-2.2v when the ms3x outputs a 5v signal. Have I got the wrong transistors?

    Thank you

I used a pair of Quadspark ignition modules on my MS3X / M52B28.

They need to be kept cool. Originally had them under the battery tray and they'd start misfiring as they got hot.
Relocated into the cabin and it's been good ever since.

Think you can get away with a single module if you run wasted spark? I wanted full sequential though.

If I were to do it over again, I'd just upgrade the ignition coils to ones that trigger with the 5v signal level outputs instead of bothering with spark boxes.
