Having trouble downloading firmware MS extra

Hey guys, I'm having trouble downloading the "extra" firmware to my megasquirt so I can adjust spark. It seems to make a good connection but always fails when i try and flash it.

v3 board, ms1

I have a diy usb adapter and the latest drivers i can find. also tried a radioshack adapter. Tried with xp and vista.





I've been stuck on this for a while, maybe the chip is dead? It was built by a fellow r3v member.

It looks like there could be a problem with your boot jumper circuit, you are installing the boot jumper when it prompts you too, correct?

The trace on the boot jump circuit on the board was damaged. So essentially it was never jumped even through I thought it was. Just fyl almost 4 years later.
