    Anybody running megasquirt N/A?

Just curious. I remember some guys on an SR20 forum I was on getting big NA power out of a car with nothing but precise MS tuning with no turbo. If I ever went turbo I think I would install MS first, become familiar with that, then add boost.

Yeah, I know a couple of dudes doing it but I've never seen them drive their car fast...

            what do you mean?

the computer you use to run the engine doesn't change the level of power you can get out of it - the tune does.

I think he's asking if people have gotten more power from putting a better tune on an na m20.

of course - you can't do a bunch of mods to an engine, leave the tune stock, and expect performance.

it really doesn't have anything to do with what ECU you're using, though.

I just thought it was an interesting prospect, kind of a hard core alternative to chip tuning.

honestly it's probably easier to setup and tune megasquirt these days than it would be to self tune Motronic 1.3. There's basically no wiring involved unless you want to do custom stuff.

The gains VS cost of putting MS on a stock 2.5 M20 really aren't even worth the trouble though.

who said anything about stock? :p

people spend $600 on the miller MAF/WAR kits for random check lights and no support, what's $600 for a PnP setup? ;)
