    miller WAR questions

    hi
i just installed the war, went through the setup wizzard, uploaded 4 base tunes from the ones availabe when setting up for first time at the wizzard.

    questions:
1- how do i know where at the TCM is every tune?
2- lets say i want to edit the rpm limit or any value in one of the tunes, when i finish doi have to save or save as? then do i have to write on the chip or not?
3- i did evertything on question 2, but after i disconnect the chip from computer and reconnect to make sure everything is ok, i notice that the 4 tunes change positions on the 4 tabs. eg: the last tune i edit and write always changes its position to the first tab.
4- why does the car limits rpm at 4500 in one of the TCM clicks when not any single tune is set to limit there?

I highly suggest you forget that the TCM exists and just load the same tune to all 4 slots. every time you load a new revision to a tune it will change what position its on the TCM. figuring out what tune it is, is annoying and not worth it.

after you change a value just hit enter and then save as a new file somewhere so you dont override the original file in case you have to go back.

Ya that shifting profiles is a glitch in their software. What you can do is load the software and load all the tunes you want and then write them each time. If you want to tell the difference just change the rev limit. As always save alllllll tunes you make. If you leave a tune blank I do believe it defaults to the default tune or tune #1 cant remember.

I spoke with brody today and he told me about the shifting positions bug. He told me to put numbers in front of the tab names. 1-2-3-4. Eg: "1 93oct 14lb"
I did that to all the tabs saved and everything wrote the tunes on the chip and disconnected the usb. I immediatly reconnected to check, and it stii shifted the positions.
I still have the problem on two
Of the tunes, it limits at 4500 when i have it to limit at 4000.

I'm pretty sure you cant get it to rev limit below 4.5 to 5K

I had a 2 step tune on my with a 3.5k rev limiter and it would still rev to 5k.

^^ yeah thats what i guessed but still didnt try though, i did write the same tune on all 4 tabs and set the limiter to 6000 and it worked perfect.. So i guess any value under 4500 it wont take effect. Im only messing with the limiter for now to see how stuff works... Real dyno tune coming soon.. Probably next week. Ill keep you posted
