I have been seeing m20 powered e30's with coilpacks mounted to the firewall. I have searched and found no info on this conversion. I have been debating going turbo on my m20 and feel this would be a good upgrade to add. Anybody have any links or info on this? Thanks.
m20 coilpack upgrade?

you need to upgrade the entire computer and wiring harness to do that.
if it's just a basic 12psi build or so, the stock coil will work fine.Comment

I know that...the computer will change my timing under boost, the coil packs will allow the timing to change. With the rotor fixed to the camshaft doesnt seem to be the best way to get the best tune from a boosted application.Comment

you can still change timing with the rotor. way more than you need to change it for boost. it's not a "fixed" timing angle.. I think the limits are something like 50 degrees.Comment
