    ebay Headers?

it seems legit the seller only has 2 negatives in the past year. i was wondering if it would be a better idea to spend 250 instead of 600 on bavautos

looks like all the other ones out there. I bought some about a year ago and thought they looked like they wouldnt fit. just got around to lining them up on an engine and i think they engine side will fit but i doubt the xpipe will. probably will need a little pulling on one of the tubes to sit it flush on the engine. just know theyre made in china and they are not top quality

I ordered a set of those about a week ago and when I tried to install them the fitment was way off, I had read all the reviews on r3v so I knew they weren't going to be perfect. If you go to the second page of my project thread, I have pictures showing how bad the spacing was on the runners. The only way to get them close to fitting was to try squeeze the runners together and even then the flanges wouldn't fit over the exhaust studs. Here is the link to my project thread. http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=153509
I emailed the seller and I sent them back for a full refund. I decided to order the IE shorty headers instead. Also I paid 270 something for the non fitting ebay header and the total for the IE ones was only 285, so it might be a good idea to spend a little more for something that is more likely to fit. That was my decision, you might be able to make the ebay ones work, its up to you.

the IE shorty headers are basically the same thing; maybe the fitment is better but the collector design is the same garbage, plus with the really short primaries there's basically nothing to be gained over stock, except lower weight and better looks.

In fact they are so much shorter they may even be worse..

I wouldn't ever spend more than $200 on Chinese headers, mine were around $150 shipped if I remember correctly, You'll need to use RTV on the gaskets or the flanges may leak, mine have been holding up really nicely since I RTV'ed the one flange that wasn't perfect. Before I rtv'ed the flange it would blow a gasket every 100miles, now its been well over 1k and running great. They are much easier to remove than the stock manifold because you can easily reach all the bolts from the top, I can remove mine in about a hour now.

Yeah I figured they wouldn't be the greatest. I actually broke part of my oem manifold so that's why I was trying to find a cheap replacement. I was gonna do a new exhaust eventually anyway.

just want to input something, bav headers now cost more like 750 dollars, no longer 600.
