Ok so got my muffler and tips back from the plater..
All excited, Left work early to pick up the kid and forgot to bring home the
mounting brakets, cores, and fiberglass packing (bun)
I'm telling you sound adjustable for most would be more important than Supertrapp. I moved the 278K muffler from the wifes 525 to her newer 525 just cause it purrs NICE.
Mine are ajustable, I can very the lengh, and size of the louver or perforated core, as well a the amount of packing.. and If needed body size, singles or duals, single or multipul chambers

Just finished a fully welded set, and sent it out for plating today..
I changed up my look
I'm running duel 3" glasspack style bodies, 21" long with a fully louverd 2" core
packed with tempered/pressed fiberglass packing..
As for the tips, I have 2 buillet tips cnc'ed here, in a euro style slash cut look
they'll extend out about 2.5 inches from the valance edge.
These are fully repackable, and I carry the fiberglass (bun) inhouse.
I will post pic's of the finish muffler most likely on Monday when i get them back
from the platers..
I know what I want, and it seems we might be barking up the same tree, sorta.
I want a pair of straight cut Borla tips coming out of the center of my car. I have no need for a spare tire, so the well will be cut out.
I want either something that has no packing (RevTech, NOT Flowmaster) or, ideally, a pair of repackable tubular style, like the ones you showed above.
Can you sell this stuff? Are you willing to fab stuff up and ship it? The louvering on that core you showed is excellent, and will make exactly the sound I want.
OK so I'm on the ground checking out all the sweet hole in my muffler when I relized that if i hit a bump hard enough that it will come apart faster than a M20 oilpan...
Damn.. it's too bad I realy like how it sounds right now.. oh well..
So I'm a fab guy by trade, but i get paid to build exhaust for motorcycles for a living..
So I read some where that glass packs fucking rock on the tail end of the m20..
1. Ok fisrt of three is a big ass fartcan size 2-1.
4.5" x 21.5" long body w/ 2-1 collector running 1.75" to 2.5 butt
Core is 2.5" x 19" louvered core body removeable and repackable
2. This set is a pair build, of 3.75" x 19.75" long bodies
Cores are 2" x 17" louvered core body removeable and repackable
3. I have no pictures of this set ran out of time.
They are 3" x 15" bodies. Non-packable
Cores are 1.75" x 15" louvered core body sealed and not repackable
These will be chromed then brushed to give that satin/chrome look.
It was a boring day at work today, and I kinda threw them together..
as mock-ups ...
I'm still looking for a good design.. just kinda playing..
