    Headers

I just picked up an 87 325is as my weekend toy/project. Its completely stock now, and needs a little work, but its all what Im replacing. Im getting the head stage 2 ported and polished and installing high lift cams, havent decided on how high yet. I have been looking through a couple e30 forums and google and have yet to find anything definitive about a good set of headers. I dont mind paying for them, but I havent found them.

The race guys (PRO3) all run the ebay headers, they say that on a dyno, the ebays make more power than Stahls.

Nice first post, BTW. Why not post some pics, introduce yourself and (more importantly) your car?

put ebay headers on my car yesterday, straight pipes back after that.
muffler shop showed me that the longer tubes rubbed on some bracket but wrapped it in heat wrap just incase.

          more power on top end.

Well if your hopping it up you want 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" pipe, Supersprints are 1 3/4" but $1200 Custom, 3 stepped, with Burns Merge collectors would be $1800

Which eBay headers fit without too much modification?

thicker exhaust gaskets help too. the ones that come with ebay headers are shit, complete shit.

a good oem one works, or a thicker one if they aren't fitting properly, like mine.

I would think the ones with single flange on each pipe should eliminate resurfacing the whole flange if it's warped.

reused the 6 header gaskets on my ebay headers after i wrapped them no leak or prob at all, fitment was never an issue either they had more room the the manifolds an factory 24v downpipes
