....I was waiting for these clips!!!!

I cant get to load first clip.......; modified( second) clip sounds great ...can you do some steady 4500/5500 rpms a bit and some more WOT? WOT sounds very raspy, which I like.....overall it really sounds good and not ricey at all. How does car feel?..any increased throttle response or does it pull at higher rpms better? Any pics?.....specifically what muffler and what cat did you use?.... You did oe duals into 3 " y pipe into 2.5 " single cat into 2.5 single system?.......... Any boominess or resonance inside cockpit? .........great stuff, finally an m20 sound clip.
I love sitting down and just driving!

heres some pics of the system

yes i can get more soundclips and to be honest it really isnt raspy at all it sounds raspy when i rev it with no load but when i accelerate there is no rasp its got a very nice deep tone to it ill try to get some take offs and drive byes aswell as some more wot and ill get some steady high revs ill probably get those this thursday and yea throttle response is quite a bit better i had a bunch of leaks in the stock system it was getting ready to break in half wot pulls very nicely now and yea there is a very deep tone inside the cockpit its not unbearable but i think i wanna dynomat my cockpit so its not as loud but i have to be honest this exhuast is very very loud cruising speed i can keep it nice and bubbly sounding but no drone when i let off the gas or slam the gas it is extremely loud

and yes the car is filthy its been being worked on for the past week new injectors new exhuast new o2 sensor some more tuneup stuff sway bar links front and rear etc so i havent had time to wash it plus working 11 hours a day kinda leaves me with no time

I am jsut about to do the same thing for my cabrio. Where did you have the exhast made/built? I am buying the following pieces.

$84.77 Magnaflow 9400 series cat converter 2” in 2.5” out (from performance peddler)
            $22 Dynamax 2.5” in/out 28” glasspack muffler from (Jegs)
$55 Jegs exhaust tubing 2.5” 20ft of tubing (Jegs)
$99 Magnaflow SS muffler single 2.5” in Dual 2.5 out (Summit racing)

Do you think it will be loud or not really? My dad (48yrs old) and myself (16) will be driving it so i need to know if it will be too loud or not. And also where the best place is to go or atleast what places will make the exhaust for me. Thanks for any info.

            -Ali

            P.S. Your exhaust sounds badass!

thanks Ali now the only problem your going to have is that glasspack...if you get the stock exhuast cut right after the H pipe you will have really no room for a glass pack i bought a 24" glass pack aswell but there is absolutely no room underthere to fit it now delete the glasspack and your exhuast will sound fine it will probably sound like mine and probably just as loud....mine is very very loudi took it to midas and it cost me 350 to install it and they gave me free chrome tips

its hard to say but you must realize his muffler/ cat set up can end up being louder or quieter than yours..you are using different manu's.........

also if you do end up using glasspack it will make your system quieter.....

custom set ups are always a guessing game on sound....

You need a serious valve adjustment, and maybe some proper-weight oil in there.

well i found something that I hope can fit.

It is a dynomax race bullet muffler it's over all length is 16-1/2". The muffler itself is 4 inches round and the piping is 2.5"in/out. Could this maybe work inplace of that very long glasspack? I told my dad about the exhaust and he heard the clip and said it reminded him of some old GTO he had  so he is okay with the sound but I just wanted to see if maybe this would work. Any ideas A_325i, or anyone for that matter?

well a glasspack (any glasspack) will quiet it down it may add a nice tone to it but it wont be nearly as loud it will act as a resonator... i couldnt be happier with my setup...if your dad likes the sound he heard in my clip then dont even bother with the glasspack dude just get some nice resonated exhuast tips and they should help a little with the noise...if you dont like how it is once you get it installed THEN opt for a glasspack...but just put on the pipes the cat and the muffler on first see how it sounds if its too loud then get the glasspack :-P

Ya I guess you're right. I just dont want any cops bugging me. Its gay, dudes with crazy mustangs and stuff have straight piped cars that are well over 110db(atleast it seems liek it) and the cops never bug em. Heaven forbid a kid in a foreign car has a loud exhaust, I swear its like they can't wait to hit you up with a fix it ticket lol. ohwell hey i think i am paying too much for piping whered you buy yours from?
