    Loud exhaust

Alright im a little pissed I just got pulled over for my exhaust being too loud, yes its a straight pipe with a cat in the middle but I've seen trucks that are wayyyy louder and harleys that are extremely loud but no my car isn't acceptable.

Anyway whats a cheap way to quiet it down a bit?

Is this question for real? If you have no muffler, PUT ONE ON. That will make it quieter.

Well duh but I'm no fabricator and really don't want to sink a lot of money into it, I thought about getting a pipe baffle and shoving it in there

I have no first hand experience with a glasspack, but pricewise, they only cost about $30, and you can have someone weld it in for pretty cheap, it'll only take about 30 mins or less.

thanks, some real info. But i guess i should have cleared it up, what would sound nice on my car, but quiet enough that the 5.0 isn't on me and thats cheap and easy to install?

You could do what I'm doing right now.. cut the pipe with a sawzall, get a muffler, get an adapter, get clamps, make your own hangers. Or just cut the pipe in the middle somewhere, throw a glasspack and 2 clamps and be done with it. Takes 10 minutes for option 2. Easy peasy
