I don't know about you but I bought a magnaflow 14816 and didn't realize that it only has one inlet and our exhausts have two outlets so every exhaust shop wants a ridiculous amount to weld it on because it needs a custom y-pipe so I still haven't touched it. Not to thread jack but does anyone know a way around this?

i was hesitant to go with magnaflow at first because people were claiming it's too loud and drones too much, but I've experienced very little drone and it has a deep loud tone to it. The fact that it's nice and deep at low rpm's and mellows out when you step on it sold the deal for me.
Do it, you won't regret it.

geeze all this talk about custom exhaust being all kinds of expensive everyone wanting a magnaflow... watever i paid 140 for the guy to do my 3" header back with resonator flex pipe y pipe and my big ass magna flow.

it sounds goood but can also be loud as fuck!!!

oh and b4 sumone says he prob did a shitty job since it was so cheap.... no i drag less with my 3" than i did with my 2.5 that a differrent shop made and charged me WAYYYY to much money...

That will be worse, trust me. I don't like my magnaflow because it's loud and it drones at highway speed. It's really raspy until it warms up as well. It seems like everybody is going the Vibrant route and there aren't many complaints.

True, but then again he is looking on Ebay for a cheapass muffler. What does the Stromung cost?? Like $600-$700. I wanted to get one from Understeer.com for my E36 M3 back in the day, but it was about $650 iirc.

they sound like ass, and the dual tip versions have a tiny 2.25" single inlet.
