    Need to quite down but don't want to lose that sound...

    I did a quick scan over the first page and didn't see anything similar to my setup. My car is really loud, but sounds amazing and I don't want to lose the sound just want to quite it down a bit. Its an m20b27 with a b25 head, IE shorty headers into a uuc dual stainless e36 exhaust, it has the cat still but the muffler doesn't do much for muffling but the sound is great.
    Can you guys recomend anything to quite it down but not change the tone too much? I'm thinking of pulling the uuc muffler apart and repacking it.

      Its kinda of a give and take with exhaust. You may switch to a baffled muffler and retain some growl but be quieter.

        Cut outs would be interesting

          Could you make a sound clip? I have wanted to hear this exhaust on an E30 for a while, was it easy to fit? You could have some resonators welded in.
