    Exhaust Question: for stock m42

hey guys i got a question: i bought my e30 few years ago and it came with some off the market exhaust the (fart can kind).. makes lots of noise not the best sounds..
so i was thinking go the cheaper rout and just buy a magnaflow exhaust or Remus and get it welded on.. or get a system with everything, & made to fit perfectly..
    any ideas?

I'd just replace the muffler with something mild. Check in to the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler.

The super turbo comes highly recommended in the M42 world. And they are cheap!

I have the Super turbo muffler. Nice sound, but can be a little on the loud side.
But, this is not the issue.
When ordering this muffler, make sure you the the offset tips on both ends.

I've got a magnaflow and a cherrybomb in mine. Sounds like an odd combination, but the magnaflow takes care of overall noise reduction and the glasspack gets rid of all of the high frequency noise. I've only ever heard one dynomax, and in the car it was okay, but it incredibly raspy from the outside. That car didn't have a resonator though, and it may have been a different type of dynomax.

I have a Magnaflow 14815 with 2 1/4" piping from headers to a small cat and resonator on mine, and it sounds nice low end, but high end it gets real raspy! I'm gonna try switching out the muffler to a Super turbo dynomax like everyone suggests.
