I decided to get the topspeed headers and so far fitment is ok. Had to flatten out two pipes because they interfered with the wheel well but now im having issues getting both headers in together.
Any tips on getting both headers in? Ive tried many variations of fitting them and the closest has me interfering with my sway bar. Have any of you had this issue?
Another "have you tried these (different) headers?" thread...

When i was searching for long tubes OBX was out of stock. So i tried the topspeedauto headers. The fit was terrible. Made contact with the strut tower, firewall and sub-frame. Multiple areas where serious modification would have been necessary to install them...so i returned them and topspeedauto immediately approved the return, no questions asked. Looks like the OBX had a slightly better fit...oh well. I went with IE race headers and couldn't be happier. They fit, sound great and make power.Leave a comment:

They had them for sale a month or so ago. They seem to be off and on with the availability. Unless they stopped selling because of fitment issues. I've read a few recent threads from guys with interference problems.Leave a comment:

So my question is for the money should I get these or IE shorties? I figure the IE will be super easy to drop in but being as ill have to do a custom exaust anyway should I just go for the long tubes.
Also I have the OBX and they are complete ass, never heard a worst leak (like all the fords running around)Leave a comment:

Unless they are missing or damaged, there is no reason to.Leave a comment:

the heating element is *already* on constantly. :p
if you need a longer sensor, the one from the E34 will work.Leave a comment:

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, 2 to 3 feet after the headers is too far downstream. That may not keep the 02 sensor hot enough, causing the heating element to be on constantly, burning it out. And your readings will be slower.Just installed these headers too. I am just trying to decide where to install the o2 bung. I have a merge collector, but it is further down the exhaust. I know you normally want the o2 sensor as close to the front as possible. It would be between 2 to 3 feet after the headers. Would that be too far?
Thanks for the heads up for these. I am running single 2.5" after the merge too.
Yes, I did the exhaust studs on mine. But I had the head out too.Leave a comment:

Sorry for this, but I have to ask.
Did any of you replace the exhaust studs when you swapped your headers?
Like I said...Sorry for asking here. I looked, but I did not find anything saying yea or nay.
Thanks guys...Leave a comment:

Can anyone with the "nice ebay headers" tell me the size (OD) of the primary tubes off the the head?Leave a comment:

Honestly can't say if there's enough room between the cat and the headers to move the x-pipe. I never had the stock exhaust on this car with these headers. I just added the o2 bung and sensor to the exhaust piping myself and extended the wiring about 8 inches. Not bad at all.Leave a comment:

Ahok, is there room to cut off the x piece, and move it down further or is there no space between the end of the headers and the cat? I plan on bringing to a shop I just hope it won't be to difficult to have them weld in a new bung and extend the o2 sensor wire...Leave a comment:
