Yes, the car originally came with a catalytic converter if it was for the US market. What may have happened in the years since then is anyone's guess.

Really, You guys don't have to pass emissions. Your lucky, the first thing they do here is stick a mirror under the car to check for a cat, then you get the sniffer up your pipe. I thought you guys up there loved the environment and stuff, your so close to Vermont. lol
